Team Roles And Access

Invite team members and assign roles for operations, development, billing, support, and review access.

Team roles control what each person can do inside Partner Portal.

Use roles to give operators, developers, finance teams, support teams, and reviewers the access they need without giving everyone full control.

Access should match the job. A developer does not need invoice control. A finance user does not need webhook secrets. A viewer does not need to create orders.

Roles

Current partner roles are:

  • owner
  • admin
  • developer
  • billing
  • support
  • viewer

Owners and admins manage the organization. Developers manage credentials and webhooks. Billing users review finance records. Support users work with orders, services, and support cases. Viewers can review approved information without changing it.

Invitations

Invitations give a person access to a partner organization.

An invitation can be pending, accepted, revoked, or expired. Revoke invitations that were sent to the wrong person or no longer apply.

Invite users with the narrowest role that fits their work.

Organization Access

A person can belong to more than one partner organization.

The selected organization controls which catalogue, orders, wallet, invoices, credentials, webhooks, team members, and support cases the person can access.

Users should confirm the selected organization before changing settings, creating orders, or reviewing billing data.

Role Changes

Change roles when a person changes jobs, joins a launch team, leaves a project, or no longer needs elevated access.

Review owner, admin, developer, and billing access regularly. These roles can affect production operations, customer orders, credentials, webhooks, and finance records.

Safe Team Management

Do not share accounts.

Every team member should use their own login so the organization can review activity, revoke access, and separate responsibility.

Remove access promptly when a person leaves the organization or no longer works on the Onyx integration.

Access Problems

If a user cannot see an area they need, check the selected organization and assigned role first.

Escalate only after confirming the invitation status, organization membership, role, and production approval state.
