How Global Connectivity Works

Every plan starts with coverage and data.

Coverage defines the countries the plan is designed to serve. Data defines the monthly allowance. Number service adds calls and SMS when the selected country and plan support it.

After checkout, Onyx creates the subscription, prepares the eSIM profile, and guides activation on a compatible device. After activation, use the plan for data, communication, usage tracking, renewal, number service, and recovery.

Coverage Regions

Choose the region that matches your actual life.

North America covers the United States and Canada. Europe covers supported European countries. APAC covers supported Asia Pacific countries. MENA covers supported Middle East and North Africa countries. Global combines supported countries across multiple regions.

If you regularly move across more than one region, Global is usually the better fit.

Coverage lists can change when carrier support, regional rules, roaming agreements, or plan availability changes.

Choosing Data

Choose data based on how you actually use mobile service.

Lower tiers work for messaging, maps, browsing, email, and light travel use. Higher tiers are better for hotspot, remote work, video calls, uploads, longer trips, or multi-device tethering.

Regional plans can use 5GB, 15GB, and Unlimited options. Global plans can use 5GB, 15GB, 30GB, and Max options. Exact availability and pricing depend on the selected coverage area.

Unlimited and Max plans use fair-use controls. Review the current plan terms before checkout.

Adding A Number

Keep service data-only or add an Onyx number when the selected country supports number service.

An Onyx number can support inbound calls, outbound calls, SMS, account verification, recovery flows, and a stable contact point across Onyx services. A number requires voice and SMS support for the selected region.

Number availability depends on country, telecom regulation, carrier support, number inventory, account state, and verification requirements.

Before Checkout

Review the country list, data tier, number option, voice/SMS option, monthly price, renewal terms, and device requirements before buying.

Your device must support eSIM, compatible bands, and roaming where required. Some devices must be unlocked before service can activate.

If the phone is incompatible, carrier locked, missing required bands, or configured with roaming disabled, activation can fail even when the plan itself supports the country.

Activation And Use

After checkout, install the eSIM profile and activate the Onyx line on your device.

Activation may require a QR code, direct device handoff, manual cellular settings, roaming settings, line selection, or a device restart. Most activations complete within a few minutes, but registration timing can vary by device and local network.

After activation, use the plan for mobile data, messaging, hotspot, calls, SMS, and Onyx Chat communication based on the plan and country.

Renewals And Continuity

Recurring plans renew monthly until canceled.

Renewal depends on payment state, account state, supported payment methods, verification where required, and regional availability. If renewal fails, service may pause, number service may suspend, or the plan may expire.

Onyx keeps coverage, usage, renewal, number service, identity, communication, payments, and recovery understandable as you move.

Network Conditions

Supported coverage does not guarantee identical speeds or signal quality everywhere.

Performance can vary by local carrier, building coverage, geography, network congestion, roaming priority, device hardware, antenna quality, and cellular settings. Crossing borders can temporarily interrupt service while the device registers with a supported roaming partner.

Install before travel when possible, keep roaming enabled for the Onyx line, and review cellular settings before relying on the plan.
