Onyx Payments

How Onyx Payments works — one balance, Visa card, and in-chat settlement.

Onyx Payments

Onyx Payments holds USDO and fiat in one balance under your Onyx ID and moves money by card or in-chat transfer — across 160+ countries without managing separate wallets, conversion steps, or accounts.

The balance

Your Onyx Wallet holds USDO and fiat together. You choose which rail to use when you move money. There is no manual conversion required between them for most operations.

USDO is a USD-pegged stablecoin. 1 USDO = 1 USD. It is not a speculative asset.

The card

The Onyx Card is Visa-issued. It is accepted wherever Visa is accepted — physical and virtual. When you pay in a currency that differs from your wallet currency, FX conversion runs automatically in the background at mid-market rates. There are no hidden conversion fees.

In-chat settlement

You can send USDO directly inside a Chat thread. The amount, the reason, and the recipient are all in the same conversation where the agreement was made. No separate app, no copy-paste address, no context loss.

For in-chat payments to work, both parties must have an Onyx ID and an Onyx Wallet.

What your balance is bound to

Your balance is bound to your Onyx ID — not a phone number, not a device. If you lose your device, your balance does not go with it.
